Immortality or eternity literally is a unit of time that there is no limit, or time is not infinite, as expressed in terms of a lasting peace, or eternal rest.
In philosophical and religious sense that is meant is a transcendental reality that is not the same as ordinary reality. When the word eternity is applied to the divine nature, it is not enough just understanding as an extension of time so that progress without end. Divine eternity is an existence without beginning and without end, and does not contain changes in time or order. Divine eternity is outside dimension of time. Understanding of divine eternity is difficult to fully understood by humans, because humans themselves are in the time dimension, and what is captured by humans of immortality is in analog.
